Breastfeeding help!

Hi everyone! I fear i have an undersupply so looking for tips to increase. my little one was born small and we have encountered numerous problems with her weight fluctuating and her having a milk allergy so going dairy free etc. my little one is under the 0.4th centile so we are having to give top ups after every feed. She latches well but can get tired on the boob. My long term goal is to exclusively breastfeed and cut out the bottles so Im wanting to try and increase my supply, does anyone have any tips? I already pump as and when i can and will try and power pump in the evenings! Thank you🥰🌸

Why is it you think you need to increase your supply? How much are you getting when you pump?

@Charley i have a lack of glandular tissue on one breast so have less milk ducts. The most i tend to get when pumping is 40/50ml but the pump never seems to empty me properly! When i wake up in the morning i can easily pump 80ml but thats from going longer without a pump/feed

@Lily that's a totally normal amount to pump when you're directly breastfeeding too. It's often more in the morning. We only really see those large amounts like 4-5oz 120-150ml in exclusive pumpers. You will be unlikely to get an empty feeling now as your supply will be a lot more regulated, and your boobs are never empty there is always milk in there. What pump do you use? Have you checked your flange size? Do the valves need replacing?

@Charley my baby just always seems hungry still after feeding hence the need for the top up too. Im giving her a full breastfeed and an 80ml top up and she still seems hungry🥲 i have the elvie pump, have checked the flange size etc and have only had it a few months!

I use the same pump and I get the same amount as you described. I am EBF and no supply issues. The main way yo get supply up is to put baby on the boob. Unfortunately giving the top up bottle means baby is not stimulating the boob and your supply won't increase.
