Sleep

My 18 month old doesn’t sleep without his milk bottle and drinks during night sleep which is resulting in constant wake ups. He is up 2-3 times in the middle of the night and refuse to sleep on his own. Any suggestions so that he sleeps by himself? (He was sleep trained and doing really nice 2 months back)

Same here. I was able to lower the crying and hunger a bit by making sure he has good dinner and fills up his tummy. Then offering him not milk but a very little milk mixed with lots of water in the bottle during the night wake ups Also, when I know he did not eat well, I do offer him milk in the night but be sure of not doing this often since kids are smart and catch habits pretty fast. Love to know more tricks though.

My 17 month old son sleeps through the night for the past 2 months. We still do night time and nap time milks but what we did was we’d take the milk once he was asleep and leave a water in his crib so he’d have something for comfort so then he started making up for it and eating better in the day. That lasted 2 weeks and then we stopped doing the water he cried for two nights about it but he would self soothe and fall back asleep. Then he was sleeping through the night

We had a similar issue but with nursing. We ended up night weaning. After three nights, baby started sleeping through the night and eating more during the day. Painful, but necessary

Mine has only ever slept thru the night once and I’ve tried so many things

Does he have any cuddly blanket or stuffy in his bed/crib? Also when he wakes don't offer milk, just water. He might scream for a few nights but he'll get it. Start a bedtime routine. With my daughter we started doing a big snack at 730, brush teeth, we read a bunch of books and then I offer water if she wants some otherwise I just put her to bed. She had a nightlight, white noise and a few stuffies/blanket in her bed. When I first weaned her off the milk bottle we'd listen to lullabies while I rocked her or patted her bum but after a while she started sleeping on her own

Same here but we just co-sleep at this point and feed him milk when he cries.
