I’ve tried bibs too :(
I just kept dipping the dummy in my milk and giving it to her and each time she’d keep it in that little bit longer. Eventually she fell asleep with it in she was 3m at the time as well. Started with the dummies where the end is pointed upwards if you know what I mean and then managed to move her on to mam dummies. Took about a week before she understood what it was and would just accept it on its own and keep it in but now she loves her dummy at 10m and I’m scared I’ll have trouble getting rid of it😂
Dummy's aren't supposed to be used after 6 months or when they get teeth. Might be worth it to start introducing a lovie? Lay down with you and baby and lovie (teddy) it may take a month but baby will figure it out
My daughter never accepted a pacifier the very few times I tried introducing them to her, and I was totally okay with it. I just dealt with being her human pacifier for a couple months until I found other ways to soothe her. Skin to skin with my husband and cuddling with a muslin blanket were helpful. Staying fully clothed when I didn’t want to nurse her helped make that boundary too. If your weather isn’t too bad, you can try taking your baby outside to rock her in your arms when she’s having a breakdown. I just don’t know if breakdowns are normal at that age though, so make sure you’re nursing long enough/ often enough. Burping during feeds can help “make room” for more milk to assure she’s getting a full belly.
I was having the same issue but started using BIBs and she loved them thank god
