Do you put baby in crib awake or asleep ?

For naps & bedtime, do you put baby in crib awake so they soothe themselves to sleep? Or do you rock to sleep & then transfer?

I do both awake and leave the room & awake and stay to support it really depends on his mood but awake and leave the room is the top one

I spoke to a sleep coach and they said if you want to rock them to drowsy then put into crib so they settle, then gently wake them up and they should then settle/soothe back to sleep. We been doing it and it works

My baby just cried in the rocking part… she seems to hate it. Has anyone experience this and gotten over it?

My baby doesn't like to be held to sleep 😂 he likes his own space to stretch out and kick his legs. He self settles with me next to him by rubbing a muslin on his face and sucking his thumb

Neither. Feed to sleep, then transfer to cot or leave in our bed, however I feel that day.

I was feeding to sleep and transferring but have recently moved away to feeding in a room that's not her sleep space, keeping awake and then doing a story beside her while she lies in her crib, then I was staying and supporting but moved away further and further away. Now I just kiss her goodnight after the story and walk out the door
