Maybe pelvic floor exercises. Just make sure it’s safe to get started mama. I had a c section too. When my baby was around 4 months I started working out with a trainer. And they had me doing exercises with weights. Weights seemed to help the weight fall off. And cardio. I messed my shoulder up a few months after so I couldn’t continue with weights. But I’m going to go hard on the stairmaster!
Walking and eating healthier helped me x I’ve had 4 planned sections and although i still have the pouch 2 years after my last one that will never leave. Please bare in mind you’ve also just had a serious operation so you can’t do too much either even though you feel ok the inside won’t be healed yet xx
One-spot reduction doesn't exist. However, walking significantly helps. I walked about a mile a day strolling with my LO after my C-section and my belly as well as other areas of my body shrunk.

Congrats! 5 weeks is still early, be gentle. Walking and pelvic floor exercises are great starts. As a pre/postpartum certified trainer and Pilates instructor, I know core work is key, but please see your doctor for a referral to a physical therapist for personalized advice first. I was so grateful to have one; she helped me so much! After the first month following my C-section, I walked frequently and stayed well-hydrated.I kept moving to help my body eliminate the medications I had taken. After three months, I started to feel like my body was returning to normal, and by six months, it was mostly back to normal. I also used a postpartum waist band during the first few months to aid my recovery.
