Post natal anxiety

My child is just over a year old and I think I've had post natal anxiety for this entire time. When she was born I was really anxious about people taking her and I never used to go out with her on my own because I was so afraid something would happen to her or someone would take her 😭it started to get a bit better but I can feel it starting up again and it's really exhausting 🙁has anyone else has this particular thing happen?

Yes. Speak to your doctor! PPA and PPD can intertwine and though you aren’t necessarily experiencing the PPD symptoms, if you leave PPA untreated it can lead to PPD and sometimes PPP. I would definitely see someone and discuss it. Remember, nothing is silly so make sure to be 100% honest. I am on Setraline for anxiety and depression - suspected to have been undiagnosed for my child’s first 3 years 🤦🏻‍♀️ And it helps. But my anxiety is still pretty high, but I have been given websites and tools to use.

Thank you so much for replying. Sorry to hear you've gone through something similar😔I've had cbt 3 times and it helped slightly at the time but its got worse again and its exhausting being in fight or flight all the time when you're out worrying if someone is looking at you because they want to steal your baby 😭how did you find taking sertraline?

Message me if you would like ❤️would be happy to go through how it was for me etc :)
