I tried it for two days and quickly realized it wasn’t for me or my baby. My girl is 6 months and currently sleeping through the night, but sometimes she wakes up and needs a little help settling back down whether with soothing or a quick feed. Honestly, they’re only this little for such a short time, and I know I’ll miss those extra midnight cuddles and kisses… so I just let it be
@Moran I agree 100%
Our LO would only sleep for 2hrs in his cot and then would be awake every 30mins and wouldnt go back to sleep unless held constantly which resulted in my husband and I having to take it in turns and hardly get any sleep. I respect others views on the CIO method but honestly it worked for our little one, he didn't really "cry" but more whinged when he was put down awake in his cot. First night he whinged on/off for 15mins then fell asleep, 2nd night was 8mins and after that he now falls asleep independently within 5 mins. He is able to self soothe by bringing his legs up/down and rubbing his head side to side then rolls onto his belly and goes to sleep. I'd recommend reading the Precious Little Sleep book x
I tried the ferber method for a few days then my baby got sick now I have to start all over. The ferber method is basically crying it out but you go and comfort the baby at set intervals for about 2 minutes until he falls asleep. The first night was rough and I almost gave I'm but after 90 minutes he slept for a full 5 hours!! The second night he only cried for 30 minutes and slept till 4 am! The third night he cried e even less but he had a harder time going back to sleep during the night.
I was so impressed by how quickly I saw it working normally he wakes up a ton at night and the first night he slept 5 hours. My mind was blown away. it definitely pulls at the heart strings but after a week I think it will be great!
I had him in a sleep bag and I had a camera on him so I could make sure he's safe and breathing. I always heard about babies throwing up when they cry too much but he never did. We just moved but once his room is set up I will be resuming the sleep training
I think the cry it out method is a horrible method and can cause issues later…. There’s other ways to sleep train
