Early labor

So baby has been head down prior to 28 weeks (I found out via ultrasound at a shop, never actually felt her turn) apparently she has been comfortable in this position for quite some time. Currently 31W4D and I went back today for another set of 3D pictures and she has remained head down. Does this mean she’ll possibly come prior to her due date? Picture of my chunky girl for attention🥰

She’s so cute, I just did mine at 27 weeks and my boy was head down too facing my back. I asked my doctor the same thing and they said they change positions a lot and just practice that position if it makes sense. I’m still curious like you too though and I won’t know till about 33 weeks when I go to try a 4d again if he’s facing down still.

I’ve been wondering the same. I’m 29 weeks and baby is low and head down. They told me he’s probably just comfier in there like that 😭. Although, I do hope he comes like a week earlier haha. My back is hurting lol!

It don't mean nothing sadly. Baby can come on due date or early depending on your body and baby wants

Means nothing. My first was head down my entire 3rd trimester and even in the 2nd. Same with my current pregnancy

@Sydney thank you hun💖 @Krystella & @Sydney my doctor said the same at 28 weeks. Babies typically change positions frequently and doctors don’t concern themselves with positioning until around 36 weeks to make sure baby is in the optimal position for birth. However, I think my baby got stuck during practice because she hasn’t gone back upright since she turned head down lol. A google search informed me that a baby going head down is a good sign that they’re preparing for birth, but will it happen sooner than expected? We may never know.

@Lindsey @Natalina that sucks😭 wishful thinking I guess. So long as she stays in until after the baby shower I’ll be happy lol

Mine has been all over the place! 😅 Dr said we only “worry” if baby “drops“ while in head down position. I asked my dr about 3D ultrasound & he said to not worry about it, to save the money and buy baby clothes. In my mind I was thinking, ‘I could have saved money from coming to you & pay for my 3D ultrasound pic!’ 😆 He hasn’t given me any type of advise/suggestions/expectations as a first time pregnancy. Sorry for the mini rant, I digressed from what the post was about 😅

@Liz that would’ve pissed me off as well!! My doctor tried a 3D scan at my anatomy scan and baby wouldn’t cooperate and was too small anyway. I paid out of pocket at 28 weeks and again today at 31+4… my next ultrasound from my doctor is at 36 weeks for a growth scan and I plan on asking them to do another set of 3D pictures then. Getting all the memories I can as this will be my only pregnancy, I don’t plan on having anymore. Also, some doctors will give you advice/guidance and others won’t unless you ask. It sucks but most times they assume that you already know if you don’t ask. Typically they’ll ask if you have any questions or concerns at your appointment and if you don’t mention anything they’ll send you about your merry way. And I can’t tell if baby has began dropping yet as I haven’t had any cervical checks since I’m not far enough along. I don’t physically see a difference and I only have slight pressure which I assume is due to baby’s increasing weight.

No, I went to 41 +6 and baby had been head down and low since about half way for me xx

I don’t think it really means anything 🤷🏼‍♀️ My son turned head down at 23+3. I only know cause I had gone to the ER for a fall and while I was on the monitors I felt some CRAZY/INTENSE movement. Like I thought he was legit gonna bust out my belly for a second lol 😂 15 mins later they did an ultrasound and said he was head down. I was like ooooooh that’s wtf he was doin in there lol 😂

@Dani Marie that’s funny lol, still sad I didn’t get to feel my girl turn

Could mean nothing baby A is head down has been a while but I still have time to go
