It's a personal choice. Do it if you want to, or don't. Nobody, not even your OB, will tell you what you *should* do. Also, no, it is not an indication of early labor.

Not an indication of early labor and I would personally start collecting it. Definitely agree that it's a personal choice.

How would yall go about collecting it? Like with a haka and then in syringes? I’m sorry if these are dumb questions, it’s my first and I’m just a little clueless.

@Jordan Pfannenstiel How much are you leaking? If you're leaking a lot you might just need to hand express them. So squeezing it out manually with your hand. There's videos on YouTube on how to do that since it's your first time, or you can consult with a breastfeeding specialist at the hospital. But you start high on your breast and squeeze downwards toward your nipple until it comes out. Collect it in a syringe and freeze for up to 6months. If hand expressing isn't doing much, I would try a haka. You can always actually start using your electrical pump but that always makes me nervous because I've heard that doing too much of that can actually start labor... lol not sure how true that is though. In my opinion baby is going to come when they decide to period. 😂 but I've known women to actually intentionally do that if they're tired of being pregnant and they want to try to get things going naturally lol. I don’t know exactly how much but I know anytime I shower or just barely touch my boobs it is all coming out of many holes on my nipples. I usually check because I used to have nipple piercings and took them out months ago but just still make sure the old piercing places are cleaned (I’m super ocd about it😂) but I think I would be able to hand express it for sure! I did find some syringes on Amazon I think I’ll go ahead and order! I have heard about pumping early and it inducing labor. I have had a friend tell me that’s what out her into labor but I’m with you when it comes to baby coming when he chooses! Thank you so so much for the advice and tips❤️ @Natalie

@Jordan Pfannenstiel at my breastfeeding class they said to hand express into like a spoon or something and then use syringes. if it's colostrum, there wouldn't be enough to pump and you may waste it by pumping because it'll just get caught up in the parts and won't really collect all that well in one area (if that makes sense)
