Breast feeding question.

So, I know this isn’t factor to breastfeeding or, that I’ve been told but, I never leaked before pregnancy except with my first. With my other 3 after I didn’t leak at all. Second son, I fed for maybe 3 months but I supplemented due to me feeling like he wasn’t getting enough. Daughter, I supplemented the whole first month and then went straight to bottle after a month. With last son, I really wanted to breast feed without supplementing. However, while at the hospital the lactation consultant tried and tried to get him to latch. It hardly worked. They pulled a machine out for me to pump and it hurt more than it did good. Hardly anything came out. I don’t wanna use the botttle so I fed from breast when I could, I pumped what I could and gave to him. I think I was feeding every 30 mins from boob and after he fed from one boob, I’d switch him to the other, lay him down and then after maybe 15 mins I’d pump from each boob for a total of 15 minutes and got 1.5 or 1 ml. Not sure if it was oz at the time but I know it’s only colostrum so I’m sure it was ml. Anyway, after awhile it got exhausting and he would not latch because he was use to the nipple already… and the lactation consultant tried to put my boob in his mouth but then she got fustrated it seemed like to the point and said my boob didn’t have the “cleavage” most people do to make it easier for the baby to feed. That made me feel like a complete failure. She said I had a lot of cushion at the top of my boob but underneath I don’t have any. (My boobs are like triangles in a while) don’t know how else to explain. Eventually his respiratory rate wasn’t where they wanted and the lactation consultant and the pediatrician got into it because lactation wanted to me to keep breast feeding while the pediatrician said for his health I needed to supplement. So, I did just that and he got use to the bottle even more.. because every time I would breast feed him his respotory rate wasn’t where it needed to be but, when I bottle fed him, it was. No one kinda guided me or helped me so I pretty much gave up there because they said I wasn’t making enough, and he almost went to the nicu and I didn’t want that. So, my question is, I don’t want to go through this again but I want to breast feed longer. I even switched obgyn so I don’t have to deliver at the hospital I was at, I got to another one now and I explained to them the situation and they said they’ll work with me but the hospital I was at said the same thing. Any advice to help me get through this when it happens? What can I do? When imager in pregnancy should I pump so that way I produce more than what I usually do? Idk. I guess I should talk to my doctor about it.. it just sucks because I know messing with your milk can induce labor and I don’t wanna do that.. but I’m not leaking and I wish I was because at least I’d have some hope that I have some stuff..

I got a huge supply due to pumping til empty! With this baby make sure you measure your nipples for the right size flange! And you can even get a nipple Shield to get baby to latch better and work your way off the shield!❤️

My son wasn’t able to latch because of his bottom gum being so far back that he couldn’t latch. This time I’m getting nipple shields just incase they are supposed to be like an actual nipple and it’s supposed to make it easier to get a good latch. And then you can slowly stop using it. You just have to measure your nipple to get the right side. I pumps for the first month of my son’s life and it was a lot so I gave up. I do plan on breastfeeding this time around and already ordered the shield just incase I need it this time around.
