C section
Hi all, I’m nearly 36 weeks and booked for an elective section at 39+2 where they will also remove the stitch I had placed at 21 weeks.
Has anyone else decided not to have the stitch removed earlier and waited for a section? I’m a bit worried about labour happening and causing damage or will I still lose my mucus plug and waters break if the stitch is still in place?!
What week did everyone have their sections? X

I think that’s just common practise here! (UK)
@Ava im uk based but I’m not having my stitch out until my section at 39+2!

Yes me! Stitch out at 36 weeks, c section 39 weeks. My waters broke the night before section 😂just went straight to the hospital and still had my section no problems. Most people are usually dilated when the stitch is removed
