I was told to take folic acid and D3. For both pregnancies.
Absolutely, I think many nutrients are important, what is rarely highlighted is choline, which is so crucial for brain development which studies have confirmed, yet barely anyone gets enough from diet alone (unless you eat fish and multiple eggs daily which is unusual for most of us). I study nutrition and I do have to say that the most important thing is testing though, it’s best to know where our levels are at, that way we can tailor the right dose of each nutrient for us. There really aren’t any one size fits all recommendations, despite many brands trying to tell us that we get all we need in one multivitamin pill. It’s just very individual and we all have slightly different needs. Even the form of folic acid matters… many people can’t use the synthetic form that is most commonly used, and need to use active folate instead to get the benefits. It’s very complex.
I highly recommend (to everyone!) the book “real food for pregnancy” by Lily Nichols. I believe this is the best book on nutrition in pregnancy, and it covers supplements as well. Highly, highly recommend if you want to learn more about this ❤️
Pregnacare pregnancy one. Multi vit and omega 3 combo
I took pregnacare throughout pregnancy and also iron tablets bc was anemic
I took pregnacare all the way through x
Just worried I’ll have too much of it as my diet is really healthy, balanced and heavy vegetable based
I only took folic acid at the start,i had a really bad pregnancy and had hyperemesis gravidarum so i literally couldn’t keep nothing down.As soon as i took folic acid or vitamins they even came straight back up - i managed to take vitamin D and i think it was iron from holland and Barrett on the odd occasion which were individual tablets, not the multivitamins because i couldn’t even swallow the size of those things they made me throw up even more just putting them in my mouth made me heave !🤣
I took folic acid from when I found out till I was 12 weeks, took aspirin from 12 weeks till 36 weeks because of low PAPP-A and pregnacare pregnancy tablets everyday from start to finish x
I had pregnancy multivitamins which had folic acid in too x
I took multi vitamins specifically for pregnancy. If you have too many vitamins due to diet your body will just get rid of them anyway.
I took the seven seas pregnancy multivitamins and omega 3. They have the type of folic acid that is much easier for your body to absorb so less likely to get anemia x
pregnacare vitamins and a balanced diet. you’ll need more nutrients now your growing a baby so taking vitamins aswell will ensure your both getting what you need
I took pregnacare during my second pregnancy x

Folic acid until 14 weeks and vitamin d the entire way through
You won’t have too much bc baby will take your nutrients as well, think like you need vitamins and nutrients for 2 people
No I never did, I had such bad sickness by the time the sickness went I thought it was pointless. Have a very healthy baby xx
I was told to take folic acid at the start and then iron, 2 baby aspirins all the way through and blood thinning injections in the last trimester but that was because of my weight and I was pregnant with twins and then the first time round when I was pregnant with my daughter I was put on the folic acid, 1 baby aspirin and the blood thinning injections also because of my weight and then I also took fish oil capsules (omega 3) throughout both of my pregnancy’s as well as they are really good for baby’s brain development x
I probably took 3 days worth of folic acid and then stopped. I’m not good with taking meds every day but other than GD and reduced movements where everything was fine nothing else was wrong
Thanks everyone I bought 9 month supply of pregnacare now
I had to take iron because I was anemic x
