@Marion sorry you're feeling so bad too! I started off eating lots to avoid sickness but now it isn't making a difference 😔 I'm hoping it improves in second trimester!
Hey, I’m the same as you! I’m currently just over 11 weeks and my sickness has been awful 😣. I would definitely contact your doctors as you could be dehydrated and require fluid drips x
I’m not feeling great, I wake up absolutely exhausted and straight away I’m so hungry I feel sick. I make breakfast gipping the whole time because my stomach is too empty and only get relief once I take the first bite. This then doesn’t last long and i spend the day trying to top myself up with snacks to keep the nausea under some level of control. It never goes away but luckily I’ve not been sick yet just lots of dramatic gipping. I’ll then eat my evening meal and it settles down for an hour or so before I go to bed. I feel too sick to eat but feel sick if I don’t eat so it’s a battle of trying to eat something that will help whilst not wanting anything, salty crackers/rice cakes are my best friends. I also hope this will improve the next trimester.
I had HG first pregnancy also and feel absolutely wiped out this time round- however I have been in hospital 3 times already for IV fluids and medication. I have been on antsickness tablets from about 6 weeks because of how bad my first pregnancy was , you maybe need to switch your antisickness meds or have a combination , I’m currently on 2 different types . Found they’re not affective for very long 😩 One thing I found was a sign I was dehydrated was shaking and feeling constantly thirsty. May be worth contacting your GP so they can do a urine dip for you to see if you are dehydrated , I’m so sorry your feeling constantly nauseous it’s a horrible feeling - so draining especially with a little one already to look after xxxx
Thank you. @Aimee I'm getting shakey but thought I was doing okay at sipping drinks all day. Maybe not! I'll request a GP appointment tomorrow. Which anti sickness are you on? I've got promethazine but it only seems to work a bit for a couple of hours and it is drowsy so I'm struggling on it. Cyclizine didn't work in my last pregnancy.
Ondansteron and metaclopramide I am taking . Along with Xonvea which I’ve been on for 3 days now & I’ve honestly not felt sick or nauseous at all! You’re doing so well I understand how hard it is day to day but you’re most important mumma!! Definitely see if you can book an appointment with your GP. Have you tried ice lollies or ice at all? Xxxx
@Aimee thank you, I'll push for something different to see if it helps! I've tried icy drinks and I'm having ice cubes in everything but nothing is sitting too well. Today I tried appletiser which seemed to go down okay so I may have to stock up! I usually drink water most of the day but I can't stomach it at the moment.
Have you had your booking appointment yet? You could also talk to your midwife as often of not they’re most sympathetic and if it’s an a hospital will be able to prescribe you some medication there and then. Keeping my fingers crossed for you darling it can get a very lonely place so my messages are always open 🥰🥰 xxx
Hey I don't feel as bad as you but still feel fucking horrendous ! Nausea absolutely all day, eating seems to help so all I do is eat ! It's worse in the evenings as well. I feel like with my first I was only bad in mornings not all day ! Can't wait for 1st trimester to be over ! Maybe go see GP ? Good luck to you xx
