I did therapy appointments through my medical insurance and almost went on meds. If that's what it takes, do it!
Takes time, work, and sometimes some medication. Talk to your doctor, there is help. 💕
I am so sorry! I have had bad PPD & PPA after both my first and second pregnancies. First time I was able to go to therapy, and did a session called A.R.T (Accelerated Resolution Therapy). Helped me a ton! Then I tried to get out once a week to get around friends and or family, a daily walk, and I started taking more naps and relaxing more. Sleep helps a lot as well! The second time round I needed medication to help. I stayed on it for two months and then was able to ween off them once I learnt how to catch my triggers before they took hold and had strong coping mechanisms in place. There are many different options that can help you! You have already done the first step which is voicing it out that something doesn’t feel right and you need help. You are so incredibly strong!! You will get through this ❤️
Do you workout or are you back at work? Going back to regular routines saved me
For me, it started getting worse then better by month 7
My son is 21 months now. It was horrible between birth and one year. Now we are good
At 9 months I started feeling like myself again
I was there. My LO is 11 months now and I finally have been able to get back into somewhat my routine. What helped me was forcing myself to take a shower everyday and make my bed. It’s not WOW but at least it’s something to get your day started. I also WALKED a lot!!!!! Even going out in the sun for 15min helped. And don’t be afraid to cry it out! I was crying 24/7, you’re going to be ok. I know it doesn’t feel like it and you just feel stuck but trust me when I MYSELF tell you…you will get through it. You will start feeling better if you push yourself. Even if it’s just taking a 5 min shower
