My little one has soup at nursery. I work there to so we tend to offer more help with soup. I usually do baby led weaning with him but soup is the exception lol.
Yeah we make soup for our son, it tends to be quite a chunky soup and we put things like lentils/pearl barley/ beans in it to like thicken up the texture a bit. But also yeah we spoon feed soup for sure haha
I give my little girl quite thick homemade soup - I either spoon feed her or dip some crusty bread in it and then she eats the bread herself. But it is messy 🙈
Update… I made it with pasta and she’s eaten two bowls full😂still messy but not as bad as imagined😂
My mum makes soup for my son when she watches him. It’s her excuse to not follow our wish on BLW 🤷♀️ I gave up on that one
I haven't given my LO soup yet but if it's mess you are worried about I wouldn't be. They are only almost 1 at the moment, in the years coming up they are going to get ten times messier with so much more stains haha trust me!
I haven't yet but could you maybe make it thicker with a potato or something so it might stay on a preloaded spoon better or maybe use as a pasta sauce. I can imagine the mess have fun 🤣
