Postpartum headaches

I’m 1 month postpartum, I’ve been experiencing headaches the last week or two, every single day. They are kind of mild. Not too bad. The light definitely makes it worse. I rarely used to experience headaches before giving birth and even during pregnancy. But 2 weeks after giving birth and now I’m constantly getting headaches. Has anyone else experienced this?

Are you drinking enough water and eating properly and getting enough sleep? If so I would talk to your doctor because it could be something else more serious like a blood clot. Not to scare you but that’s what my doctor told me to watch for especially since I had a c section but even natural birth can cause blood clots. So I would talk to them and let them know

Did you get a epidural??

@Giselle yes I did

@Shynel Water… probably no. Sleep? I’m not sure. And i dont know about eating properly either. Yeah I have talked to my doctor, they think maybe it’s a spinal headache and I’m suppose to call back on Wednesday if it hasn’t gone away to come in and get checked. I’m worried it’s a blood clot or something more serious . I have anxiety and I over think a lot. Maybe I should go in tomorrow but it’s just hard with a toddler and a newborn to go sit at the hospital for hours.

@Tira okay so ive always had chronic migraines but after I had my daughter I was getting them like DAILY horrible and when I mentioned it to my doctor they said that some people just begin getting migraines from the epidural being placed and to drink extra water and electrolytes . Im now 15 months pp and they are back to my normal chronic migraines since about 2-3 months pp .

@Tira could be that to. But definitely watch for any other symptoms like numbness or dizziness etc anything that seems concerning.

Watch your blood pressure for PP preeclampsia. But it could also just be hormones. I had a few migraines during pregnancy and the first few weeks postpartum.
