oral thrush

hi👋 i’m pretty certain my little one has oral thrush but i’m completely clueless about it like what causes it, etc. do i need to go to the doctors? is there anything i need to change or know? i’ve seen that it could be transmittable to my nipples while breastfeeding? any advice would be appreciated as i really don’t know what im doing she’s fine in herself

she’s nearly 10 months old i forgot to include

Oral thrush is a fungal infection so I would def let her doctor know and they will prescribe a treatment that’s right for her age, even though babies don’t typically have teeth it’s important to brush their gums clean and get a damp cloth and clean their tongue as well. This will help prevent any build up in the future

Does she have a white coating on her tounge? That’s a pretty good sign. my daughter had it. Just go to the doctors and they will prescribe some nyastatin it comes in a liquid

If she transmits it to you they might prescribe a cream for you
