OMG my toddler is so attached before my due date and the guilt is killing me

I'm 36 weeks pregnant, having a medical c-section in 13 days, and I'm huge and sore and beyond fatigued....but my 26th month old doesn't understand what's happening and just physically wants to be on me at every waking moment, and as soon as I put her down (or my husband or a grandparent takes her from me) she scream-cries and just falls to pieces calling my name and I die inside. We basically both end up crying. How does one cope? She isn't very verbal yet, so "talking it out" with her is kind of a non starter

My 2 yr old is the same way and I'm 34 weeks pregnant. I was told that our oxytocin levels increase during the 3rd trimester and our younger toddlers are able to sense it, making them more clingy to their mommas. What seems to help me is including my son in prepping, shopping, and organizing for the new baby. Also reading books about being a big brother, and teaching him how to be gentle and help feed a toy baby. It's not perfect but it seems to be working so far

I also feel so guilty I don’t know how I’ll handle it when I can’t give my full attention to my 2 year old. People tell me it gets better but I can’t help but feel guilty.

Solidarity. My 21 month old has always been clingy but has became especially clingy the past 2 weeks. I’m 36 weeks & she decided last week she was going to start waking up 2-4 times a night to yell for mama. I am just trying to remember these are our final days just the 3 of us before baby arrives. Enjoying her need for love and attention from mommy while I’m able to give her my 100%!
