Still breastfeeding-help!

Anyone have any tips on how to stop? My little one is booby obsessed now (even says ‘booby’ which makes me squirm with embarrassment!) and I’m finding it so hard to stop. He becomes so upset when I even suggest he can’t have any. He eats sooo well and now finally sleeps without being fed to sleep but in the morning he wakes up crying for ‘booby’ 🤦🏻‍♀️ I still have not had a period and would like these to start again before we try for baby no 2! Any help much appreciated ❤️ PS I wish me, 1 year ago, could see in to the future and see how well I did with my EBF journey!!

I went from where you are to 1 feed a day over the course of the last 3 weeks. It’s honestly not going to be as bad as you think, you just have to be consistant. Mine was a totally boob monster too and I kind of cracked when I was feeding her like 15 times a day, and I decided it was time for us to stop. How we did it was my partner taking over nights entirely for a while. The first night was awful, the second less so, and by night 3 she was used to it pretty much. 5 nights in she was fully in the swing. I told her we were doing a feed before bed and in the morning and she largely accepted it. Just dropped the morning one with some distraction too. Message if you want any tips! Oh and Booby Moon has been a massive hit of a book with my girl. She loves it and definitely understand the message

I'm trying not to say booby anymore and just say milk. But honestly don't be embarrassed. People will laugh but they're not laughing at you and will understand! I don't think I will care that much if my LO does start saying booby. He doesn't have so many words so my advice is to focus on the positive that your one can say that word Sorry I can't advise about weaning. You've done great and sending you big hugs
