Does anyone else have a toddler that just wants to be picked up?

Trying to get him to walk more but it just always results in him wanting to be picked up. Even at home he’ll want to be picked up whilst I’m cooking etc.. don’t know if I’m overthinking it or he should be walking more at this age? He’s an active toddler always playing and at nursery full-time.

My daughter’s the same. Can walk for miles when she wants to but asks to be picked up ALL THE TIME

@vicky yes, he’s always been a Velcro baby but I’m just conscious that this is the age where it’ll become a habit as he gets older!

My little boy is the same. Managed to convince him he's too heavy to carry out and about, and he'll accept going in the carrier. But round the house he wants 'carry you' a lot. It's exhausting but I'm sure he'll grow out of it. I do use the carrier in the house if I really need both hands free.

My little girl does this when I'm cooking etc like you said. I think it's just because she knows I'm busy and the attention isn't on her. If I say no mummy's doing this just now she changes tact and says 'I need a cuddle'. They know how to work us! 🤣

My lg loves to be picked up or carried, I use a toddler side sling when out and about and at home we have a toddler tower so she can “help”

My lb is the same!! We went shopping a couple days ago put him in the buggy like he requested after we got out the car and then he asked to get out and be carried 🫣 he's almost 15kg!!

@Harley my little boy does the exact same!!! 🤣
