Tell him you are saving $160 a month on formula (I used Kendamil organic and that’s how much it was for me). Also maybe find some type of chart that compares breastmilk benefits to show him. I’m sorry he’s being so unsupportive when you are trying so hard. Maybe see a lactation consultant to help with pumping so it isn’t painful. I understand not being able to use the wearables. I didn’t get near as much milk when I used wearables compared to my spectra.

Keep going you DO deserve a trophy for it!! I did the same for the first 2 months because my baby had a tongue tie while my end goal was getting him back to breast. My husband also hated me having to make time for pumping and me insisting on trying to latch him. He would argue with me saying why don’t we just do formula… but… just no. I don’t like being so dramatic, but I basically sat him down and told him if he continued to be so unsupportive in this very difficult time that would leave for my mother’s house and not come back. We are doing the best we can for our babies! After carrying them for almost a year and pushing them out of our bodies…. While the most they went through physically was maybe a sore neck for having to sleep on a chair for a couple nights in the hospital lol
Oh mannnn! I can’t imagine dealing with all that for your baby, just to have your partner not even appreciate what you’re sacrificing for your baby. My partner is looking forward to when I stop pumping/breastfeeding because it does take up ALOT of time and energy, but he also knows that 6 months of having breast milk is so good for the baby! Yet, he does still complain a lot too. Just saying he can’t wait for me to stop…which is hard to hear because I feel like he’s forgotten how much effort it takes on our end too. A partner resenting you for this though really makes no sense! It has tons of benefits for the baby! I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this! Also though, you shouldn’t be in pain from pumping!! Are you using the right size flange? I know when I first started pumping I was told the wrong flange size and I was in so much pain until I went to a lactation consultant and she properly measured me. Using the right flange size is like night and day.
