Advice

Second baby is just around the corner..i didn’t go through labor the first time around so i didn’t experience average labor signs. But im nesting, a lot of pelvic pain, sadness (damn hormones 😆), occasional bursts of pain in lower abdomen. I’m high energy yet lethargic at the same time. Could this be early labor signs?? Should i be messaging my OB? Please send me advice!

this is me too, literally every single one! i’m only 30 weeks though, and this is my first pregnancy so i’m not familiar with labor signs as well im sorry 😭 but congratulations!!

Im in the same boat 🤣 but only 32+ 2 so I feel like its early, but definitely keeps me googling multiple times a day. I didn’t go into labor with my first either so everything feels new to me!

To be considered active labor you’ll need to have consistent contractions (every 3-5 minutes) and dilation. You can be dilated a couple cm for weeks before active labor especially if it’s your second baby. It’s the consistent contractions that are gonna help move baby down. Contractions can be different for everyone. My sister didn’t realize she was in active labor and barely made it to the hospital. When I went into labor I had to sit and breathe through the contractions once they were getting stronger. Another fun symptom not many people talk about is you might have several bowel movements, everything in there is getting squished. Also it’s common but not necessary to loose your mucous plug. You can technically loose one at any time in your pregnancy and it can regenerate. But for someone they will loose it at the end. Hope this helps!

Your body is getting ready and we’re getting close! This isn’t labor though, just weeks of preparation you’ll need for the next month and a half.

Also hi!! I live like 20 mins from you 😆 I have a 16 month old boy and I’m 31 weeks tomorrow lol but I’m having a girl. Nice to meet you 😊🫶🏼
