@Dalianna I started pumping before my son was born to try and induce labor (I was induce 10 days after his due date) They say you’ll more likely become an oversupplier the earlier you pump. I produce about 8-16 ounces every 4 hours and it is a blessing but also a curse. If I go over even a minute after 4 hours I’m in so so so much pain.
I’ve wanted to stop pumping, too, but I don’t know how it’ll affect my supply for on-demand feeding- currently getting 12-16oz when I pump between 4-6am (I only pump once a day). I donated ~200oz of milk to mother’s milk bank the other week, so not sure if there’s a local milk bank that you could or want to donate to.
@Sarah I just wanna be done period, but I worry about the same because he will get random spurts of BIG hungry fits. I just wanna be off the timer 😭
I would personally wait to have enough milk stored until he’s 2 if I were in your situation, just to make sure you have enough for growth spurts and sleep regressions
I would test your stash in case it has high lipase some babies won’t take it if it does
@Dalianna there are strong genetic links for milk production!! You’re doing great! Don’t feel like you HAVE to pump extra. Your goal is a healthy baby ❤️
How do you get to do that? Store milk. I pump every 2 hours and with a lot of effort I get to pump 4oz.🥵and spend a whole hour on it. It’s so exhausting
