Is anyone else's baby trying to put everything in their mouth and then screaming when they can't do it?

My 17 week old keeps trying to chew on her teething toys and rattles, but she doesn't have the coordination to get everything in her mouth and just starts screaming out in frustration. I don't know what to do as she doesn't like it when I try to help by guiding her 🥺 I tried the gummee glove as I thought that might be easier for her but it hasn't worked, does anyone have anything they can recommend?

Lately my 4 month old puts his hand in his mouth too much and coughs..he starts to cry..lately been using a teething mitt which has helped

The teething mitt is great and also the matchstick monkey as it’s easier to hold xxx

Have you tried a matchstick monkey? I found that it's actually really helped with her coordination as she has to use both hands.

@Jade @Catherine she actually has two matchstick monkeys, the normal one and the mini one. She holds them really well but she just jabs them into her cheek while screaming most of the time 😅 she might just need a bit more practice

Have you tried letting her have a muslin (and if gums are sore then put in a freezer bag and leave for a few hours so it’s nice and cool).

My 4 month old hasn’t found her coordination yet and gets stressed out as she doesn’t know how to play with soft toys yet

@Dani Oooh not tried this yet, I'll give it a go today and report back! 😃

@Janelle glad I'm not alone in this! Hopefully it's just a stage!
