Is this for you or baby?

If you are formula feeding you don't need to worry until they are drinking less than 500ml a day

FTM with a breast fed baby. I've not worried about vitamins for either of us since she was 6 months old. I have bad side effects when taking vitamins in any form that isn't in food form. I got really ill when taking folic acid during my pregnancy. I've not worried about the extra vitamin stuff as there's more than you think in food and I'd rather not flood her system with added vitamins especially if I can't handle them

@Clare for baby x

@Ebony this is what I was thinking once switched to cows milk surely she’d get everything from her food, my friend never gave her little boy vitamins and he’s fine but I just wondered about the whole thing tbh it’s a minefield x

@Shannon my and my brother didn't take vitamins till I was 7 he was 4 maybe 5 and even then we didnt take them everyday only really though the winter if at all. It just wasn't a thing 20-30 plus years ago. If I survived most of my childhood without them then surely we'd be ok saving like £10 a month and not giving our little girl vitamins too. (NB I over estimated the price please don't question the price I chose I don't buy vitamins 😅)

I’m breastfeeding and take several vitamins to support us both. She gets the benefit through my milk. I’ve had a nutritionist advise me on what to take. These are the ones I wouldn’t go without: Magnesium bisglycinate - good for energy and muscles - really important one for breastfeeding Fish oil - really important for baby as it helps their brains develop Vitamin c - good for immune system Probiotic to help their brains develop gut And a really good multivitamin for women I’d really advise buying organic or from a reputable firm. A lot of high street brands are now owned by pharmaceuticals and it’s unclear the quality of the contents.

We use natures aid multi vitamin, can put a dropper in LO water

@Georgina I didn’t know we could do this! Thanks. I bought one and baby wasn’t happy with it 🤢

Thank you ladies x

Natures aid multi vitamins, I get mines off Amazon. For myself regular vitamin C D and A. The NHS provides these for free at the children’s centre

For myself I take women's mutli-vitamins. You can get post pregnancy vitamins. Then for baby, when she goes on to cow's milk, I'll get vitamins to put in. I did with my little boy until he was 2.5 then he went onto chewy vitamins 👍

I use wellbaby liquid vitamins because it can go straight into their milk which makes it much easier! With my son I definitely noticed a reduction in the amount of colds his picked up from nursery! 👍
