People touching my bump

So it makes me really uncomfortable when people touch my bump, but I feel too shy and nervous to tell someone to get off. I also struggle to say no when someone asks. I know, absolute whimp! So, how do i avoid this? My in laws are coming to visit in a couple of weeks and they will touch my bump - it's giving me massive anxiety because I don't feel like I'll be able to stop it....

You can't avoid people asking. You can only learn how to say no. Prepare a reaction. What and how do you want to say it? If you know that already, it will be easier to react immediately. You can also make up a lie. Say you are having cramps and that you're very sensitive right now. Cover your bump with your arms while saying that. With people you have a close relationship to I'd be simply honest and tell them that you don't like being touched. They will understand.

idk if i’m just so unapproachable but nobody has asked or tried to touch my bump, i think if someone tried my face would make them stop before my hand did😂

@Aimee 🤣🤣🤣

@Aimee same! No one has touched this bump … my first bump was more interesting i guess!

I’ve managed to avoid it for the most part but I did have a close friend get drunk and start kissing my stomach which made me uncomfortable.

@Tolu My MIL was completely sober when she did that. She has no excuse.🤣 She just asked 'May I?'. I thought she wanted to touch my bump and one second later she had already kissed it. 😵

@Meis that’s so funny - not what you’d expect even if they asked 😂. My friend then proceeded to tell me to be careful with her ‘precious cargo’ and alert me about every step we came across 🙄😂

@Tolu 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's kinda cute.

@Kate nobody tried with my first either, idk what i’m doing to repel people but i hope it continues😂
