It's unlikely that it is greasy cos they don't really sweat or anything. Sounds like it's being washed too often. Are you using products or just water?

@Natalie well it’s looking greasy and definitely not being washed too often. Using baby Johnson’s like I did with my first.

As a newborn they don't need any products. Just water. Also only needs a bath 1-2 a week. Potentially a build up of product which is making it look greasy.

My newborns did this as she had lots of hair. I think it’s just the natural oils for a newborn as it stopped after 2/3 months.

I have the same issue and I don’t wash her hair that much either

@Natalie I used product on my first and her hair was never greasy. And I know how many times I need to bath my baby.

@Hollie oh right, yes maybe it’s that, my little one has loads of hair too, whereas my first born didn’t. Thank you hun, glad to know I’m not the only one ☺️

@Madeleine yeah exactly, definitely don’t think that’s the issue or what I’m using on baby, otherwise they’d never make these products for newborns

Mine was born with a full head of hair and it always looked greasy when he was a newborn too. It stopped after a few months

Same issue here! My little girl always had greasy hair. In my case, I realized I was unintentionally rubbing my face creams and serums onto her hair while holding and cuddling her. So I started being more mindful of how I held her, avoiding contact with her hair—and it worked! Her hair isn’t as greasy anymore lol

I’d say it’s natural oils. My daughter was the same and she had a lot of hair x

@Tyanna yeah, he has loads of hair compared to my daughter. Would make sense if it’s natural oils. Thanks hun x
