If you lived in Australia I would normally suggest ice gel its the opposite to deepheat. I used it towards the end of my pregnancy as I was the exact same and it definitely helped out a lot, but I'm not sure if use have it over there

I slept with a body pillow from Walmart while pregnant and went to Pelvic Floor Therapy. It helped tremendously but I still have hip issues postpartum 2 years later. I’ve been in physical therapy for 6 months

U shaped pregnancy pillow or pillow between legs

Have you tried sleeping with a pillow between your knees? That helped me. I’ve had bad sciatica my whole life and I don’t know what you’re feeling but childbirth unmedicated is muuuccch worse, sorry to say lol.

When I was pregnant, when I lied on my side I had a pillow that I’d put in front of me. I’d bring my top knee up to around a 90* angle then, just slightly, I’d turn my hips towards the pillow.

I had that so bad!! I actually went to a pelvic floor PT who gave me some stretches and exercises which were super helpful. I rolled out my glutes on a lacrosse ball daily also and that helped too.

My right hip is displaced so been struggling a bit. I have a pregnancy pillow I put between my knees and have been doing pregnancy yoga. I’ve been in worse pain so think it’s helping. Sorry to say, and obviously I don’t know how bad your pain is, but definitely expecting childbirth to be worse than the hip pain for me, though my hip always hurts, so maybe I’m just used to it. Good luck!

I know the pain you speak of, it’s awful! I found regular Chiro and pelvic floor therapy to be very helpful! If your hip flexors are too tight that can make things hurt, so I found relief in the spinning babies stretches and the side lying position of the mile circuit to be very comfortable.

Also, Epson salt baths to help the muscles relax!

Are you talking about the outside like where the outside of your hip lays against the mattress? Cause omg that pain was so bad for me. Even a body pillow didn’t help me. I didn’t have the U shaped one though so maybe that would be better.

I suggest physical therapy honestly. Prolonged sleeping in one side can weaken the muscles around the hip.

Ahh yes Jade I’ve been nesting so much and since the beginning I’ve only slept on my sides just to be extra sure of that now I’ve been left for weakened hips thank y’all for al the tips

yikes, that sounds rough! tbh, hip pain can be a real pain in the butt (literally), but it's not quite the same as birth pain, just a heads up. maybe try a pregnancy pillow or some stretches before bed? hope you find some relief soon! this is what the 'Heal Baby Care App' mentioned… hope it helps! "I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing such discomfort; that sounds really challenging. Hip pain while lying on your side can be common, especially during pregnancy, due to added pressure and changes in your body. To find relief, consider using a supportive pillow between your knees or under your belly to help align your hips better. If the pain persists or worsens, it might be helpful to discuss it with a healthcare provider. Have you tried any specific positions or pillows to alleviate the pain?"

Thank you so much yes I noticed when I put pillows under the belly making it rise less weight on hips relieve the pain. Only I have to get up in the night to pee and the pillows get all messed up LOL but thank you for all your tips will continue to do what helps :) to feel better due in July so time will fly :)
