Breastmilk

I've stopped breastfeeding last week. I've been pumping little every day and noticed I'm not engorged after long periods. Should the 1 pump a day around 1oz be enough to tell my body to stop producing milk? Anyone have advice? Also, it's only my right breast as the supply stopped in my left months ago as he favourited the right 🙈. Just want my boobs to sag together phahah. Xx

You shouldn’t need to pump at all, the more you remove milk the more your body will keep producing it. I just stopped when I weaned my eldest at 14 months and that was that.

@Gemma hmm okay, I will try not to pump. Says online to hand express/pump just enough milk to avoid discomfort. I still do have a bit of pain but my boob isn't engorged. So don't know what to do :/

If you're not engorged and it's not overly painful then don't pump. X

@HL thank you for your advice. I will refrain from pumping. Thank you both Ladies x

You just need to actually stop pumping if you want to end it. Only pump if it’s super engorged and painful just to release it a little bit if you want to stop just stop pumping.

@Nami thank you, it's definitely fuller than last two days but not engorged or uncomfortable. Just a bit heavy 😂 I'll not pump and let it sort itself out 😊x

Like others mentioned you shouldn't need to pump...Instead of pumping try hand expressing or the Halka if you have one .. just enough that its not hurting and the supply will slowly stop.
