Pain & Blood Clot! TMI warning ⚠️

Hey Mamas! Help! So I am 1 week and 5 days PP. recently I’ve experienced a large clot of blood, it was a bigger then a golf ball & pain in my private area like feel like pressure? Is that normal? I just am now experiencing it I didn’t feel anything when I left the hospital it started today? Need some advice? This is my first time experiencing this because my first child she came out 5 pounds 9 oz so she didn’t rip me & I didn’t have any of what I’m having now with my second child?

That happened to me but I think it was even a little later. It was huge and I messaged my midwife to ask. They said to monitor it and if it gets worse to come in. It just consistently got a little lighter but the clumps were big for a few days.

Blood clot bigger than a golf ball is concerning and warrants an ER visit. Especially if you feel gushing liquid at any point.

I would get seen asap. You can still have a hemorrhage up to two weeks after delivery.

@Monique they told me I don’t have it? That’s weird?

@Elesha that’s how I felt yesterday and it felt like I pushed out another baby lol 😂 it felt so weird 🫢

@Allie I will keep monitoring it. If I get another one I’ll go into the ER. It only happened yesterday I’ll see if it happened again today.

@Rachel yeah I had like quarter size clots after that big one and they told me that was normal 😳 I’m 25 days PP and still wearing diapers but I also had a retained placenta with a manual removal so they told me I’d bleed harder and longer

@Allie yea they told me I should be bleeding after a week or when I leave hospital but I’ve been bleeding very heavy lately so I was a bit confused 😕

@Rachel it wouldn't be a bad idea to take iron and also watch signs from your body that you are bleeding too much. Like feeling dizzy, weak, and neasuous. You don't want to bleed out or get an infection if it was the scab from the placenta wound.

@Elesha okay somehow it only happened last night. Today I feel fine but I will keep a watch for it! Thank you! ☺️

I would reach out to your care team to get the proper advice on how to navigate this.
