I think you have another month according to online and babies just move at their own pace. Mine does the same ( grunting and yelling and whining) and I’m only a week or two behind you. I have been reading to him more and doing the finger point at my mouth with the ma da and ba sounds to try and focus on this next step. You could hire a speech therapist if you think it needs addressed but I think you are perfectly fine at 7 months. If it gets to 9, maybe talk to your Dr.
My baby started a lot more right after turning 7 months tbh
My son turns 8 months tomorrow and he makes a lot of noises sometimes they sound like babbles and sometimes it’s jibberish. A lot of yelling. I have a two year old and he didn’t really babble at all until closer to a year and he is doing just fine now!
Thank you all! I googled and it said 4-6 months so definitely had a moment of panic 😅
I put @HeyMacy on YouTube once a day, my daughter started babbling back!
My little one only says Dadada in a whisper?? lol. Her pediatrician expressed concern but she’s a very happy baby and honestly I just don’t think she feels the need to up her communication game right now! She’s also highly focused on crawling, so I’m thinking once she really cruising and that milestone is less new and exciting it will be time to babble
