I’m in the same boat my son won’t take a bottle at all regardless of the brand 😩 and sometimes I just want a break but I know breast milk is good for them for as long as possible but my son is starting to get into zippy cups and I have a bunch of frozen milk so I put a little bit of formula on it and he will drink some but still looks for me to sleep and breastfeed him
At this age, it might be easier to just start giving milk from a straw cup or an open cup. There's no rule that milk has to come from a baby bottle! It's often hard to convince an older baby to take a bottle if they never have before. We introduced a bottle to my ebf baby two months ago, at about 7 months, and it took probably 6 weeks before he would take more than a miniscule amount of milk from the bottle. And that was with me gone for about 6 hours twice a week, so he was hungry and I wasn't available. I doubt it would have worked at all if I tried to give him a bottle. We use the Philips Avent natural with the fastest flow nipple.
Idk I tried tommee tipee, spectra, lansinoh, dr browns, Phillip avent and she didn’t wanna drink an ounce of breastmilk or formula. She drinks water out of bottle tho. She just doesn’t like bottles. But I heard lansinoh is good for breastfed babies
I think they just don’t like the nipple and prefer your nipple for milk
My baby doesn’t take pacifiers too
I put a little sweet potato purée to the milk and she was more willing to drink more than a few sips but it was still less than an ounce. What I did was giving a bottle in between meals when she’s thirsty she’ll take a sip of water. You can try offering a bottle during meals or snacks. Dry foods like crackers make my baby want to drink from a bottle.
Honestly mama it’s going to be a tough transition regardless of the brand. There are some brands that tailor more towards breastfed babies but I can’t think of them off the top of my head. Breastfed babies love how soft the nipple is compared to plastic bottles. It’ll take some time for them to get used to.
