Does you little one have a dummy?

If yes, when are you thinking about weaning it off her/him?

We’re hoping to wean our daughter off it when her second molars have come (if they’re not hugely delayed of course!) and when she gets her final lateral incisor (which is delayed due to her having a cleft lip). She uses it as a comfort when she’s teething, and just at nap/bedtimes.

We use ours just at naps and bed time, so we’ve taken it off her the other times. Hoping to be fully off it by time she’s 2 beginning of June

Our daughter has a dummy for bed time & naps… we are looking at taking it away after her second birthday…. Not looking forward to it!!! Any tips would be hugely appreciated!

Trying just for her nap and sleep. She's not been very well recently so she's been having it a bit more. But want it gone really by June

My little girl still has hers, mainly just for naps or when she needs comforting but she absolutely loves it, I think I need to wait until she can understand a little bit better before we take it away 🥲

Our little one only has his at bedtime and nap time, we are due baby number 2 in May and don’t want him to lose his comfort with baby arriving so we’re going to hold off a little longer than planned with his

I recently stopped giving ours his. Literally went cold turkey and was surprised how easily it was to stop. It's definitely out of sight out of mind.

She only has for nap and at night but I’m just dreading taking it away completely 🤦🏼‍♀️ like someone else said I was hoping to wait until all the big teeth were through but I’m also having another baby due in September so I don’t know if I should wait until after baby is here or just go for it now

I'd recommend just going for it, as mine used to have his constantly so I was really surprised he managed to settle fine without it. I expected at least a few sleepless nights etc but he didn't react at all. If anything he slept better as it used to wake him up when he lost it. I think the older they get the more they'll be aware that it's missing so probably easier to do it sooner than later.
