Rolling over

Hey guys 👋 my baby is about to be 5 months on thursday! He has yet to begin to roll over on his own! I try to do it with him some but he just is not interested! He has started to lift his head while doing tummy time but just recently! He was born 6 weeks early so I guess technically he would be only 15 weeks if he had been full term… just wondering if this is normal or if I should be doing anything extra!

My daughter was born 6 weeks early and didn’t roll until she was more like 7 months. All babies develop at different rates and some don’t roll until much later. He’s doing great and will get there 😊

I think it’s normal! There’s a huge range of when babies develop their skills. Just give him time to practice and strengthen his head and keep playing with him so he learns the mechanics. Check with your pediatrician if you’re nervous but don’t sweat it 💖

I think tummy time is key but my 4.5 month old will tolerate it for about 5 minutes max🤣 don’t stress about it as others commented, they’re all different. My boy can roll onto his side but that’s about it, i find laying him on his mat with bare legs seems to help? (No idea why) he just attempts it more then x

It’s totally normal. My first born didn’t roll over until he was 7 months. He also did not crawl until 11 months but he walked 2 weeks after he turned one. Each child develops on their own. 💕

My baby girl will be 5 months in two weeks and she still hasn’t learned how to roll over either. I’m not too stressed out about it yet. From what I’ve read (I’ve read so many books on babies) and what family members say is that rolling over typically happens from 4-7 months. Some a little earlier and some a little later. So it’s totally normal! 😊
