Fast let down

Does anyone else struggle with really fast let down? My little one seems to really struggle with it and it makes feeding a real struggle especially at night when trying to get little one to settle for the night. It’s starting to get me down as it seems to make her really fussy and unhappy. Anyone any tips?

I have the exact same problem! I’m not sure how you fix the fast letdown, but I now normally try and hand express into a bottle or haka before a feed so that the let down is less intense/removed and this seems to work for me

^ same and as your milk matures it’ll get better!

Let gravity help. Have baby looking down onto the breast. Try laid back nursing…https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rHXolgD4r44&pp=ygUbTGF1ZCBiYWNrIG5pcnNpbmcgbW9yYmFjaGVy

Side laying helps me and my little girl. Takes some of the gravity out of the let down.

I have a fast letdown, my baby will sometimes refuse to nurse/pull off until I change to a better position. Laid back nursing doesn't really work for us because she drowns in boob 🥲 but side lying has been a game changer especially at night. We co sleep and we just go back to sleep

Side lying works well for us

Yes I struggled with this. Feeding in laid back position completely resolved it for us!
