My little one is nearly 11 months and has no clue how to use a bottle. I started teaching her how to drink through cups and sippy cups at 6 months and she still hasn’t fully grasped it. It’s hard to get them to learn something totally new especially when they will only really feed when hungry and when they are hungry they aren’t really wanting to learn a whole new skill
This worked for me, I pumped/or formula and gave it in a bottle to my baby. But my partner fed our baby. Because your baby can smell you and your boobies. So why would baby have the bottle while the best is accessible? I read a book about this, and it suggested everyone should feed the baby in a bottle apart from the mom, at least in the beginning or until the baby gets used to it. For us, we worked very well, and later on, I was able to feed our baby without any problem. I hope this is helpful! Good luck!
Perseverance, my LO finally took a bottle at 8months. Tried on and off since 3. It was like a switch. He is now 9.5 months and is having 2 bottles in the day so I'm only BF morning and bedtime. He downs the whole bottle whereas for a while he'd have the whole thing one day and then 2oz the next
Seen a lot of people on similar posts suggesting you don’t give the bottle (if that’s possible)
My 7 month old didn’t accept the bottle until almost 6 months and now we’re back to complete refusal again. I wanted to stop breastfeeding completely but the whole ordeal is insanely stressful 😭
