Electric vs manual pumps

So I’ve breastfeed my baby from the get go and from our first day home I’ve pumped once at 2-3am and gotten milk for my partner to feed her from a bottle during night shifts. This has always gotten me enough milk. For reference I use the Momcosy s12 pro. I can’t remember how much exactly, but the first picture is how much I’d get (both boobs combined). But now I haven’t changed anything in my routine and I’m getting significantly less Everytime I pump. This was the same time just a different day. And the same settings and everything and the second picture is what I’m getting now. Looks more than there is as I’ve got it slanted. I was producing at least 6-8 ounces and now I’m lucky if I can even get 1.5 ounces. Ive seen people saying a manual is better. Would it be my pump is the problem as I never feel empty now when I use my pumps? My boobs still feel like they’ve got a decent chunk left in them. My baby is still feeding really well and gaining weight and she’s having lots of wet and dirty nappies, so she’s clearly getting enough straight from me. I’m just wondering whether it’s me that’s the problem or these pumps. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I’ve ordered 2 medala hand pumps and they should arrive in the next week. So hopefully these work a little better.

If you’re still feeling full then it could be that you have a clogged duct that the pump isn’t able to resolve? Have you tried taking sunflower lecithin supplements? It usually thins the milk and makes it easier to flow through the breasts!

@Aaya but the thing is when my daughter feeds she empties me. I only still feel full when I pump.

It could be that your supply is starting to regulate and that's why you're getting less. I'd rule out the pump being the issue. I had the elvie pump and it turned out the way I was sterilising it, damaged it. I was able to get new parts.

@Rhiannon I’ve been told you don’t have to sterilise pumps so I haven’t x

The nhs recommends sterilisation for the first 12 months. Might be worth seeing if momcozy have a troubleshooting page in case it's the pump and there's an easy fix.

You might need to replace the parts in your pump, here’s more info: https://exclusivepumping.com/when-to-replace-breast-pump-parts/ Re-measure your nips at the same time to match sure you’re still using the right size flange, it’s common for the size to change in the first 12 weeks pp.
