Screaming

Is anyone else’s toddler screaming for you when you are literally next to them? My lo definitely does it for attention if I’m having a conversation say with his dad - I always include him but sometimes you just need to have a quick chat about something - but he also does it if I’m playing with him or next to him. I’ve tried the tactic of ‘your being loud like a lion let’s try being quiet like a mouse’ which does work but not for long. His screeches hit levels that make dogs bark in our neighbourhood 😂. Help! Any other tactics or advice would be greatly appreciated!
