I’ve been having this for a couple weeks now and at 34+3. I was at the hospital yesterday and they did say it’s normal but if it’s coming regularly you’re best just to go up and get double checked
I've been having them too . They come and go , no regularity too them . So I think they are just strong braxton hicks
Could be braxton hicks but no harm in getting checked out x
I’ve had and get braxton hicks and they tend to contract, make my belly go stiff and don’t hurt but make me out of breathe. But this felt more cervix? Xx
Could be prodromal labor
@Kianna I would assume the same, I’ve been getting braxton and they definitely feel different but when I mention prodromal labour to any midwife/dr at my hospital none of them have heard of it and they all think I’m saying I’m in labour labour. Bit shocking it’s not part of the education you need to go through to be an nhs midwife/obstetrician
I had this and was seen my pregnancy assessment. They did a cervical exam with a speculum and put me on the tocco machine. They said they could see that I was having regular contractions but I wasn't dilating therefore they put it down to an irritable uterus. They said to increase my water in take and rest xx If you're getting regular cramps/contractions please ring your pregnancy assessment unit up and ask to be seen xx
I had the swab test 5 days ago and it came back negative for the labour hormone but honestly I feel so sore, achey and pressure and I’m like is this just the end of pregnancy ? But I also cba to go to triage as it takes forever and I’m probably just having normal pregnancy stuff xx
It could be completely normal but I'd ring midwife/triage just incase x
