Unprotected sex

Soooo… hubby and I just had unprotected sex for the first time and I am on the high risk time 2 days before ovulation. We have both been hinting to a second baby but we are really not the kind of people to plan a child more to just let it happen. Like we both know what we are doing but don’t explicitly discuss it or plan it. That’s how first baby came about. I do want another baby but to be honest we are not in the best financial spot. And this baby is draining us. On the other hand I am already 41, and don’t really have another 5 years to wait for my financial situation to get much better. Also ever since pregnancy I have had all kinds of hormonal issues and only now am starting to feel like myself again so I don’t necessarily want to do anything hormonal like the plan b pill. Specially if I want another baby. I feel like he pulled out, he said he pulled out and in the past we only got pregnant once we did it on the day of ovulation. Not the times that we did it as close as a day before. Long story short my risk is high, but what would you guys do, take the pill and have the hormonal overload or just ride it out and hope for the best?

I would just ride it out and hope for the best, if you’re wanting another baby, I think you should just let it happen if it happened lol. Also, if you’ve already ovulated (and you don’t know it) the plan B won’t work anyway..then you have the hormonal overload and you’re pregnant. Anyway, good luck! I hope all turns out how’d you like ❤️

I would have said take the plan B, only because a second kid is not impossible after 46+ with the right interventions; also because if you escape hormonal issues from plan B, you won't escape them if you did get pregnant again! Pregnancy opens the female hormone floodgates, so you'll have to pick which is the lesser of the two, really. However if you feel like you could handle a second baby, in terms of finances, schedules, support, your mental and physical health, etc, definitely go for it!
