Everyone is different, so it's great you've contacted your midwife, but I had a tiny bit of brown discharge on a handful of occasions between weeks 9-11. It seemed to happen after overdoing it walking with heavy backpack/shopping etc. My midwife wasn't concerned as it was not fresh blood. I'm 15.5 weeks now and baby is doing well so far. I really empathise with what a worrying time first trimester is. Try not to worry and I hope the midwife gets back to you quickly.
