Crib Protector

Hello, looking for recommendations! My LO rolls over during the night to sleep on his tummy. He does great, however; he tends to crawl all the way to the other side of the crib and bumps his head and this wakes him up. I go in his room and move him but he crawls back up😅. If you’ve experienced this, please let me know what you use and if possible attach an image. I would like to get this situated before tonight haha.

Ugh. Same. I don't think there's anything to be done except wait it out lol 😆

I use a mesh liner but not to much protection for the head just keeps my baby girls feet from not getting stuck

@Michelle same. It resolved one problem, we slept for like 2 nights, and then the next night she discovered wriggling her way into the corner and hitting her head and getting stuck there 🫠

@Katherine same she’s started to hit the areas that are not covered. I know they say no bumpers to.

@Katherine Bummer😅! I was afraid someone was going to say this. He usually does well but last night was rough😮‍💨

Mesh liners are not safe, along with any kind of bumper. There’s really nothing that can be done other than to wait it out. With time your LO will learn the boundaries of their crib and stop waking themselves up.

@Danielle my pediatrician said mesh was ok because it’s breathable

It’s cute but my girl would put both and then try and turn on her stomach and cry bc her leg was stuck

The AAP advises against it. I respect everyone’s own parenting choices but it should be acknowledged that there are risks.

This happens to us every night, and it takes about 90 minutes and a feed to get him to sleep in his crib after that. We usually just plop him in bed in between us and one parent stays awake to supervise and then we switch. Rather than both of us losing sleep for multiple hours, at least we are both able to get an hour or two of real rest
