Girl just do regular cow milk it’s easier to ween that way. I went from BF to cow milk around 7 months when my milk slowed down bc I got pregnant.

You feeding them solids?

Solids also help ween from the breast bc it fills their belly. Baby can have purées but my daughter ate a lot of solids bc her front 8 teeth were all in by the time she was 9mos.

When it came to sippies and bottles I started w a straw bc she always hated bottles.

See I didn’t know he could have regular milk this soon I just got back from grabbing some formula at the store, he only as 4 teeth rn but he is eating the purées

@Nani he hates the bottle to the he won’t latch on anything outside of my breast so I just been letting him drink it from a cup

My oldest was like that she absolutely hated the plastic nipples and she wouldn’t take a binky 😭 after the new baby was born she got back on the milk too it’s hell sometimes and you’re definitely gonna have to fight with him a lot about the boundary but he can def have up to 24-28 ounces of cow milk a day (only have to limit it bc it can cause an iron deficiency) but he can also have juice and stuff too and I honestly would suggest giving juice and water first so he’s used to drinking something besides milk. My baby uses a cup pretty well now too bc I used to help her drink from my cup so you’re absolutely in the right track. It just takes time with ebf babies.

@Nani I’m about to pm you

formula is fine in a cup, cows milk shouldn't be introduced until 1

Switching your baby to cows milk at 7 months is absolutely ridiculous. Do not fucking advise other mothers of shit on the internet if you’re that ignorant.

@Siera okay DOCTOR first of all pediatricians will tell you ( as mine DID) it is absolutely fine to introduce cows milk between 6-12 months before you catch a bitch ass attitude.

that's super funny because my ped definitely said not to until after 1. so OP you might talk to your ped about whether they recommend the introduction of straight cows milk

You’re plum stupid and my bitch ass attitude will 100% call your dumb ass out.. I can guarantee you NO pediatrician told you it’s okay to switch them to cows milk like you just advised above. Babies are not to even have cows milk at all until 12 months. If you switched your child at 7 months you shouldn’t even be able to care for a baby. There’s something wrong with you arguing your ignorance openly on the internet like this.

@Sarah im just gonna stick with the formula until he’s able to chew regular food like i did with my other kids

I would try to wean slowly so your boobs don’t get clogged. I stopped one feed for a few days and then another. The only had one feed and just distracted by giving her food and getting up or doing stuff if she tried to come to my boobs.

No cows milk before 1

you have no idea how old my children are my daughter was almost a year old in the post you’re so confident makes me look like a bad mother? You have no idea what a pediatrician might advise because you’re not a doctor? I’m a literal premed/nursing student specializing in pediatrics and obstetrics? You have no idea what my situation was/didn’t read anything except what fit your agenda for what’s “correct” parenting?
