No! You don’t need to at all 🩷 Ny little girl done this when she was this age, and I’d leave her in the next to me while I curled back up in bed because I was so exhausted. She’d just lay there and talk to herself to be fair, or kick her feet, or stare at the ceiling until she fell asleep, honestly you don’t need to entertain them at all! If they’re fed and changed, let them lay awake and get as much rest as you can, if they’re content and happy, take as much advantage as you can!Xx
You have to teach them the difference between night & day, we’ve always left my little girl to it at night time (gotta admit while i’m drifting off it does make me smile that she’s babbling). If she was crying I’d tend to her but if she’s just awake & content I do put her in her next to me and let her drift off x
Thank you all ☺️this is really helpful xx
If he's happy and contented and not upset I would leave him be. My first daughter was very happy to be plonked down and left to her own devices in a safe space. My 2nd daughter on the other hand not so much so enjoy it whilst he's happy to do so xx
I leave mine to it but I also wake up confused as hell and ask myself have they even slept? Are they now due a nap?! 😂 are they now crying because they’re hungry or overtired? 😂
Most of the time, i try to engage with my little one when this happens. But let's be real, our sleep and their wellbeing/safety are linked so if you need to rest and they're content, take advantage of it
