WIC

Finally got wic after waiting for 4months! Anyone knows if you can use it at self check out? Forgot to ask them that and I was just wondering just now. I’m in Washington if that matters!

In my state you can. Tx

Sometimes I have issues at self check out with wic mostly only Safeways tho!

Only at certain stores

Certain stores yes (I’m in Oklahoma), but you have to scan it before you use any other card whether it’s an EBT, debit, credit, or gift card.

I use Walmart and yes you have to put WIC in before anything else

Check which stores can. Also, you can download the WIC app and make an account linking it with your card and it shows you the stores closest to you that accept WIC and you can scan stuff on it to check if your WIC covers it (as baby grows, they adjust it to you and your babys needs)

@Hailey okay that makes sense I went to Safeway today with it for the first time at self check out and it didn’t work so I thought maybe I’m not doing it right lol so I just ended up paying with my card. I see you’re in WA too, what stores does self check out work for you?

The WIC app is great and very helpful for a whole lot of questions. You can even scan different foods and it will tell you if your particular WIC benefits cover that food. Super helpful! I’ve used int in CO for years and never had a problem at King Soopers (Kroger), or Costco.

I have the wic app, scanning went well and the app is helpful. I was just wondering if it works at self check out because it didn’t work for me at Safeway in WA. But thanks everyone.
