Your why is the biggest thing, like Amanda said. Then it's about discipline. When I'm tired and I don't want to work out, I remind myself that working out will give me energy. So I can nap and still feel tired, or I can exercise and feel better the rest of the day. I always choose exercise. Unless I have a migraine or I'm pregnant. 😅
Do you have a cute/favorite outfit you wanna get back into? For me it was being able to fit into my wedding dress. Also, I heard the saying a while ago but "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". Some people agree, some disagree but whatever helps!

Being on skinnytok (the skinny side of TikTok) and seeing people who used to be overweight being skinny now. There’s some creators that say mean things to get you motivated and that works for me personally. My favorite is “imagine watching a video of yourself running in slow motion on the beach in a bikini. If you don’t like what you see then hit the gym until you do” and “eat small, be small. Eat big, be big” those are the 2 that help me eat less and go to the gym religiously
I never liked the "use discipline" to go work out. It makes working out feel like a punishment. And the whole you got to go every day feel like if you don't, you shame yourself. That's just not fair to you. It's got to be fun for me, and I have to build up the habit. It's got to be movement that I enjoy: swimming, dance, yoga, gymnastics, with friends, with baby, in the park. Something I can be silly doing. Maybe it's mommy and me yoga once a week. Maybe it's copying my baby's movements on the floor of my living room (you don't realize how many crunches those kids do). If I don't laugh once doing that activity, I quit and find a new one. Do baby steps and work up. You're trying to build a habit, not trying to complete a goal. There's no "end" to having an active lifestyle and eating healthy, and having an active lifestyle is how you maintain a body that can do the activities you want to do and look good doing it.
You gotta have your ‘why’. Motivation isn’t always there. But determination is. You also need to do something that you enjoy. Your why can be because you want to have the energy for your kids and taking care of your mental health directly affects your kiddos!! :)
