Baby still not crawling

I’m in exactly the same position! My boy will be 11 months on 16th. Tried to get him to stand today and he just bends over. My eldest was almost walking by now! But they all progress differently and I try to think a few months ago he wasn’t even rolling so he’s doing it as he wants to! I’ll keep up with helping him but trying not to worry! X

My LB is exactly the same he’ll be 11 months on the 27th. he’ll happily roll all over the place and he tries to get on his knees but other than that no signs of pulling up etc x

My little girl is WOBBLY WOBBLY and doesn’t have the strength to pull herself up but will stand (again … wobbly) if you hold her hands. No crawling, can’t go from laying to sitting, bum shuffles and rolls lol. The HV said she’s not concerned, but that it’s about upper body strength so if I wanted to work on that, and I’ve been looking at a few YouTube videos. But general message on all of them is the same thing - don’t stress!! ❤️

I thought my baby was the only one not crawling or even standing support! 😭😭

@Emily yeah I keep thinking that too but then panicking in the next thought haha 😂 I’ve been trying to help her stand and she will for a few seconds but then her knees go and I see no way she’ll be getting herself into that position anytime soon ☹️ x

@Indy yeah we’ve got our HV visit next Thursday so I’ll see what she says 🤞🏻 I think I’m worried even more as we go to a play group and her 3 little friends are all standing/ walking and she’s not even crawling 🥲 x

@Arieta yeah me too because I hadn’t seen anyone say anything about it in a while but at least we know we’re not alone! X

Ah, I get you! My LB is 11mo and just keeps rolling and pivoting and rolling and pivoting 😂 The HV said he had very good upper strength but thinks he hasn’t quite figured it out yet but his fine motor skills are 💯 She said that babies who advance in gross motor tend to be slower at fine motor and vice versa! If I put a grain of rice on the floor - he’d have no problem picking it up but when I put him into all-fours, he just freezes 😂 I’d try not to worry but It’s easier said than done! 🩷

@Indy this is my 11 month old girl too. Bum shuffling queen, she surprised us this morning sitting up in her cot?! They just do everything in their own time❤️

@Lucy oh that’s interesting because funnily enough on the ‘questionnaire’ she can do all 6 of the fine motor things! X

@Toni Honestly, I have quite a good relationship with my HV and we both sat there and slated the questionnaires! 😂

@Lucy oh bloody hell if even the hv’s don’t like them why do they still send them?!

so i'm sure different areas and teams might view things differently, but at our 9-12 month checkup, my HV basically told me that they don't measure crawling as a milestone because some babies simply don't crawl! my boy isn't crawling but in the last week has gotten soooo close, as in getting on to all fours and trying to move forward and backwards. for ages i was getting so worried and was trying to encourage him to crawl, but he wasn't taking to it, and after that appointment i stopped doing as much because if he doesn't want to, then i guess he won't 😂 i think as long as they're walking by like 18 months, there's not much cause for concern! you're doing great mama 🩷

My LB is 11 months on the 13th and started crawling on Sunday - commando style.
