Cheating husband

Been married 8 years, together for 10. We had a rough patch in our relationship in 2024. He came clean about his affair, we been going to counseling, and he’s putting in all the efforts to earn my trust back. We been doing ok since then, I stayed and decided to make things work for our family of 5! Well, recently I tested positive for HSV2 & now I’m distraught…… we been moving forward atleast trying to, but with my new diagnosis I’m not sure what todo or how to feel. My whole world feels dark. I suffer from mental illnesses and rn my mental is declining 😭😭😭😭😭

I’m so sorry you are going through this. It’s crazy how identical our stories are. Just know you are so strong and not alone.

Im sorry you’ve been betrayed by the person who is supposed to protect you and care for you the most. You don’t deserve this. Can you see your therapist more often, is that affordable? Can you call a DV hotline and start to make plans? (I am, but I have to go slowly. He’s abusive and also I’m scared he will give me an STI. He cheated before and didn’t protect her or me. He’s cheating again.)

@Ele sorry to hear we are the same person, atleast we’re not alone. (Even though it doesn’t ease the pain of betrayal) currently I’m clouded, and conflicted in life. Not sure what my next move will be but I know it won’t be easy. I been a stay at hone wife for 7 years. I don’t even know the route/steps to take to even leave.im so hurt! I can’t believe it happened like this… To anyone reading my comment, PLEASE DONT THINK IT CANT BE YOU!! It can happen to anyone 😭 I’m living proof!
