Should I be concerned about my 7 month olds toes overlapping like the attached photo?

do they walk weird? or do they just do this when their foot is relaxed?

My sons did something similar to this when he was a baby now that he is 3 it doesnt look like that anymore my pediatrician said it was because his feet were really chunky lol they are skinny now🤷🏽‍♀️ it never bothered the way he walked. Not sure if this might be the same for your little one!

@Annie she doesn’t walk yet so not sure

@Jalyn that’s good to know! Thank you :)

ya if she doesn’t walk yet i would assume when she starts to they’ll fix themselves. they probably just look weird because they’re hanging around lol

my son also tucks his second toe down and he walks just fine, i like to think the toes are waiting for more foot room lol

Do you ever put shoes on your baby?

Ask your doctor. They may grow out of it, but as they learn to walk you should definitely keep an eye on it.

I’m 34 and I still have overlapping toes. It’s never affected my walking or anything else 🤷🏻‍♀️

My son had this when we put normal shoes on him. We have to buy wide toe boxed shoes for him. I have wide feet myself.

My babies toes does this too- I’m always stretching and massaging the toe so the tendons can relax a little- it was just one toe for him and I’ve already noticed a difference. Just mush the toes in your fingers to put them where they should be a few times a day- that’ll help

My son's toes are still like this and he's 4.5 years old

My 3 sibling had this. It went away before they were 5. Never cause walking or shoe problems. Their toe would get caught on socks sometime. 🤣

Check the shoes make sure there is enough width! My kid has wide feet and her feet will do that if her shoes are too narrow.
