He can say 3 mum, dad & yeah... oh and he barks 😳🤣
We still don’t have a single word just shouting and arm flapping. We are under consultant care for other reasons and will be under the early development service too 🤍 some little ones do things in their own time 🤍
I’m not sure how many, as I don’t keep track of her words. She says some phrases like “all done”, “I love you”, “yes”, “no”, “mommy”, “daddy”, “hello”, “bye bye”, “bird”, “boob”, “bunny” regularly, however, other words she just kinda says occasionally. She understands a lot, though. She follows directions well
My son can not say 1 single word like nothing at all he just shouts lol I’m sure it will come with time! We will be going to the GP for some other things so will be talking about speech therapy if things don’t change soon xx
Honestly he says mummy and daddy only when upset, he says WOW constantly at the minute (my fault, I say it every time he brings me a stick or does something cool) but otherwise he just mimics us. He points to colours and declares they're blue. Red car? BLUE Yellow car? BLUE!!! Orange car? BLUE! WOW!
ma ma, da da, ga ga na na and ball 😂
Just for everyone to bear in mind, animal noises count as well, as do approximations of words if used correctly eg ba for ball or wa for water. Mine says hiya, byebye, mama and dada all day. She can say other things like her version of woofwoof, moo, baa, nana (banana) but doesnt say these very often just now and again
My daughter is 15 months and she can say around 30 words and signs “please” “milk” and “eat” but my cousins baby who is the same age only says 4 words. Every child is different and does things at different stages xx
Mine randomly says things but then stops completely. She said ‘up’ yesterday for the first time. I think she says ‘yeah’ and ‘no’. Otherwise it’s still a lot of babbling!
My son says ‘daddy’ ‘mama’ but he doesn’t associate them with the meaning. He can just say them. He says moo 😂 knowing it’s a cow but that’s it.
@CeeCee well, if that’s the case, then she’s doing better than I thought. 🤣
My health visitor said babies tend to either have a lot of words and walk a bit later, or walk early and only have a couple of words. Mine has only just taken her first steps this week at neatly 16 months, but is an absolute chatter box and says about 25-30 words. My best friend’s baby is the same age and a great walker, took his first steps at 1, but only says mama and dada. I think they just focus on one thing or the other at first, so don’t worry :)
Ive said ‘more’ because she can say more than 15 words, but she wouldn’t regularly use them without prompting. Like if I point to something and say the word she will often copy the word and can say it a few times but it doesn’t necessarily now form a part of her vocabulary that she would use on her own yet. Hope that helps 😊😊
